Empowered Leadership Program for ING Bank

The first run of the Empowered Leadership Program for 100 senior managers of ING Bank, held at Nyenrode Business University was completed successfully on June 5. The course, based on the Theory of Empowered Leadership for Creating Shared Value developed from my research, was divided over 5 one day modules with in-between peer learning sessions and individual & group exercises. The managers learned to cultivate six critical leadership qualities: context awareness, becoming self aware, bringing the best out of people, creating a shared value vision, achieving sustainable results and  integration. They received training in a cutting-edge tools such as Mindfulness, Appreciative Inquiry and Visionary Leadership. In the final session they had to integrate learnings into a leadership plan which is relevant for the future of ING Bank.
